The legal terms governing your use of our internship platform

These Terms and Conditions, along with our Privacy Policy, govern your relationship with internhire.me, operated by InternHire FZ-LLC (hereinafter referred to as "InternHire", "we", "us" or "our"), a Free Zone entity registered in [Insert Free Zone, e.g., Dubai Internet City or Dubai Multi Commodities Centre] under License Number [Insert License Number].
In these Terms and Conditions, "you" or "User" refers to any person using this Website, including "Candidates" and "Employers", unless context otherwise requires. The website www.internhire.me (the "Website" or "Platform") is owned and operated by InternHire.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. They affect your legal rights. By using InternHire in any manner (including registration, browsing, or engagement through email or other means), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the DIFC Courts.
1. Use of the Website
By accessing or using InternHire, you agree that:
- You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.
- You are at least 18 years old or are acting with the express consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- You reside in the United Arab Emirates or another GCC country.
InternHire provides a digital platform to connect students and recent graduates ("Candidates") with companies offering internships and entry-level roles ("Employers"). The service includes account creation, access to internship listings, profile submission, and communication features.
We may update, suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Website or Services at our sole discretion, without liability and without notice.
You must maintain confidentiality of your login credentials and are responsible for all activity under your account. You may not operate multiple accounts without prior written approval.
2. Account Registration and Security
To access certain features of the Platform, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
- Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account and the information you provide.
- Immediately notify us if you discover or otherwise suspect any security breaches related to the Platform or your account.
Third-Party Authentication: You may choose to register or log in using third-party services (e.g., Google). By doing so, you authorize us to access and use certain information from your third-party account as permitted by that service and as described in our Privacy Policy. You remain responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your third-party login credentials.
3. Candidate Services
Candidates acknowledge and agree that:
- All internship applications must be submitted through InternHire.
- You will not contact Employers outside the Platform unless permitted by InternHire.
- If under 18, your use of the Website is subject to consent by a parent/guardian and your educational institution.
- We are not a party to any employment arrangement; all hiring decisions and contractual terms are between the Employer and Candidate.
- You are responsible for verifying any internship offer or contractual terms independently.
- We may conduct or request background checks for Candidates.
- Candidate access is free unless otherwise specified for premium services or features.
4. Employer Services
Employers acknowledge and agree that:
- All posted opportunities must comply with applicable UAE laws and free zone regulations.
- Career Opportunity postings must include: job description, duration, location, compensation (if any), qualifications, and safety conditions.
- We do not employ Candidates nor are we party to their contracts.
- We are not liable for any employment relationship that results from using InternHire.
- You may be allocated a certain number of "Credits" to access Candidate profiles or documents.
- Credits may be added monthly or purchased and are non-transferable and non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Candidate information must be used solely for recruitment purposes and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
5. Educational Institutions
Partner educational institutions acknowledge:
- InternHire is indemnified from any liability related to Candidate participation, including personal injury or loss.
- The institution is responsible for disclosing health/safety risks, parental consent, or special Candidate needs to Employers.
- Internships involving Vulnerable Persons (including minors under 14) are not permitted via the Platform.
6. Payments and Refunds
- Accepted payment methods: Visa and Mastercard in AED and USD.
- InternHire does not provide services to sanctioned or OFAC-listed countries.
- Refunds will be issued only in limited circumstances (e.g., duplicate payments or no login after purchase), and processed through the original mode of payment.
- Refunds and cancellations must be requested within 24–45 days depending on the issuing bank.
7. Communication and Conduct
- InternHire enables communication between Employers and Candidates after an interview is initiated.
- All communication must remain professional. Abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior will result in account suspension or termination.
- Marketing or solicitation via InternHire's chat features is strictly prohibited.
8. Intellectual Property
- InternHire owns or is licensed to use all intellectual property on the Website. You may not use, copy, or distribute any content without permission.
- Materials submitted by you (tests, CVs, job descriptions, etc.) grant InternHire a non-exclusive, royalty-free license for use on the Platform.
- You may not post or upload any content that infringes on third-party rights or violates laws.
9. Platform Use and Liability
InternHire provides its services "as-is":
- We make no guarantees as to the accuracy of Candidate or Employer information.
- We are not responsible for the conduct, hiring decisions, or outcomes of internships.
- You use the Website at your own risk.
- We are not liable for damages, data loss, or technical issues related to Website use.
10. Termination and Misuse
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate any account for misuse, inappropriate behavior, or breach of these Terms.
- Refuse service to any Employer or Candidate at our discretion.
- Investigate complaints or violations and take action including permanent bans.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold InternHire and its affiliates harmless from any claim or liability resulting from your breach of these Terms, use of the Website, or violation of applicable laws.
12. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Refunds are only issued in the following scenarios:
- Duplicate payments (minus card fees).
- Written refund request within 7 working days, and no login to Employer account.
- Refunds are processed within 10–45 days depending on your bank.
Employer Services and Subscriptions are non-refundable after login or usage. Service cancellation must be requested via email within 24 hours of payment for refund eligibility.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the DIFC Courts.
